Transition into year 7 2026

Glen Waverley Secondary College understands just how important the transition from Primary to Secondary school is. Our college community goes above and beyond to welcome our newest members each year. Our year 7 students will be part of the GWSC Middle School community. Our support structure includes two year 7 year level leaders, and a Director of Year 7. This team leads a thorough program to ensure that our newest students are supported to settle into the college. The transition process begins with an information evening (more information to follow), orientation day (9th December 2025), and then a further orientation program is run during the first few days of school in 2026. 

Families should continue to visit this page and pay close attention to the links at the bottom, which will be updated in the lead up to Orientation day. 

Families should also note the following date: Information Evening will be held on Thursday the 23rd of October at  6.30pm Treseder Hall. The evening will provide all families with important information about your child’s start at GWSC. We encourage all families and future GWSC students to attend. You will meet some of the Principal Team and the year 7 support team.
