Congratulations to our GWSC Intermediate (Years 9 & 10) Girls table tennis team who won BACK-2-BACK State Titles by taking out the 2023 ‘School Sport Victoria’ STATE Table Tennis Championships, which were recently contested at MSAC Stadiums in Albert Park.
Two hundred & fifty-five schools from across Victoria converged on Lakeside Stadium on Monday the 16th of October to contest the 2023 ‘School Sport Victoria’ State Track & Field Championships. Our GWSC team consisted of 19 athletes determined to make a ‘STATE’ment both on track and in the field….
Twenty GWSC girls from Year 7 were recently invited to attend a special STEM based excursion at the Penrite ‘Sandown 500’ Supercars Championship at Sandown International Motor Raceway, as part of the ‘FiA’ Motorsport Australia ‘Girls on Track’ program.

From the 1st to the 5th of May this year, GWSC hosted its ninth annual ‘Poverty Awareness Week’ to raise awareness and also funds for both Oaktree and FoodBank, who support impoverished communities across the globe afflicted by this injustice.
Over two hundred GWSC students recently came together to form nineteen ‘Multicultural Magpies’ teams who contested the ‘AFL Unity Cup’ carnival. They played a modified version of our indigenous game, called AFL 9’s, against fellow sides from different CALD communities all over Victoria.
