We knew spring had certainly sprung as glorious rays of sunshine beamed across the beautiful blue athletics track at Lakeside Stadium on Monday the 17th of October, welcoming our twelve strong GWSC Athletics Team to the ‘School Sport Victoria’ 2022 State Track & Field Championships.
Ten GWSC girls from Year 7 were recently invited to attend a special STEM based excursion at the Supercars Championship ‘SuperSprint’ at Sandown International Motor Raceway, as part of the ‘FiA’ Motorsport Australia ‘Girls on Track’ program.
Congratulations to Hannah Wong, Branden Ong and Jeneath Wong who all represented our College exceptionally well at the 2022 ‘SSV’ Victorian State Golf Titles and showed us all just how this great game should be played!
From the 2nd to the 6th of May this year, GWSC hosted its eighth annual ‘Poverty Awareness Week’, to raise awareness and also funds for communities across the globe who are afflicted by this injustice.
Congratulations to our GWSC Year 10 ‘STEM’ Team of Aylin Cemiloglu, Katrina Tran, Parishi Shah, Seanna Herlekar and Simran Sihota, who won the National Finals of the 2022 ‘Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix’ STEM Challenge!
The 2022 ‘AFL Unity Cup’ Carnival was recently contested, with GWSC students coming together to form seventeen ‘Multicultural Magpies’ teams who played AFL 9’s against fellow culturally and linguistically diverse sides from communities all over Victoria.
