Twenty GWSC girls from Year 7 were recently invited to attend a special STEM based excursion at the Penrite Oil ‘Sandown 500’ Supercars Championship at Sandown International Motor Raceway, as part of the ‘FiA’ Motorsport Australia ‘Girls on Track’ Inspire Program.
Breaking News….We have another State Title winning sports team at GWSC this year! Our ‘Intermediate Girls’ Table Tennis team recently travelled to MSAC Stadiums and took out the 2025 ‘School Sport Victoria’ Intermediate Girls Table Tennis State Championship for the second year in succession.
We would like to congratulate our GWSC ‘Year 7 Girls’ Softball team on taking out 3rd Place at the 2025 ‘School Sport Victoria’ Softball State Championships. They were also presented with our first ever ‘SSV’ Spirit of Sport Award, acknowledging their outstanding efforts both on and off the diamond.
Those with consistent bad luck often say ‘when it rains, it pours’… Our GWSC Athletics team recently put a spin on this age-old adage by running, jumping & throwing in the rain at the ‘SSV’ State Track & Field Championships with great success, resulting in a flood of medals being won by Team Glenny!
The AFL Unity Cup brings together multicultural and linguistically diverse communities by engaging them in AFL 9s and personal development education sessions. This free program also enables young multicultural Victorians to connect with peers and the community through a mutual love of footy.
