Year 10 Support and Programs
A variety of opportunities for active involvement are offered to our Senior School students for the purposes of support, enhancement, extension, as well as to broaden their horizons and have fun.

Living and Learning Program
All Year 10 students participate in a one-period-per-week Living and Learning (L&L) program. In most cases, the Living and Learning teacher is also a teacher of at least one core subject. This arrangement provides students with additional pastoral support to that provided by House Leaders.

Most Year 10 students will have participated in the Middle School Living & Learning Program, which focussed on building students’ learning capacity, supporting the proposition that “Learners are most successful when they are mindful of themselves as learners and thinkers in a learning community.”

The focus of the Year 10 Living & Learning Program is “Creating Personal Futures” by:

  • developing students’ understanding of “emotional intelligence”
  • further enhancing students’ learning capacity and prepare students for VCE study
  • providing students with the knowledge and skills to make decisions about post-secondary pathways
