Peter Corr
I’m Pete Corr: a father to five kids, two of whom (boys) currently attend GWSC and the remaining three of whom (girls) will attend over the next 10 years.
When I’m not being a dad, I’m General Manager NSW&VIC for a geotechnical consultancy, with ~60 engineers reporting to me across three offices (Melb., Sydney, Bendigo). With 20 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, mineral exploration and project management, ground investigation, ground model development, analysis and design in Australia and the UK.
I’ve established, developed and managed successful engineering Teams from a local to an international level, defining and achieving objectives in a safe, respectful, technically adept and commercially successful and sustainable way.
As a father, I’ve learned to maintain a sense of humour and recognize that management skills can only get you so far.
I’d be extremely proud to have the chance contribute to the ongoing success of GWSC.
Joanna WU
My name is Ying Wu. I am married with two boys. I have been working at a local secondary school for a while. My role started with a multicultural education aide, supporting international students. I currently challenge myself into being integration aide and being an international student coordinator, supporting local students, neurodiversity students and international students. My skills involved planning, organizing and communicating. The reason why I actively wanted to join the school council is because I can make a positive difference to support the school, students/families and community. I love humanity. I embrace multiculturalism. I love to see young people build up their authentic relationships locally and internationally. Gardening and reading are the things I enjoy so much. Lastly, I am an animist. Please vote for me! Let's get started on the new life journey! Sincerely thank you all!
Kind Regards,
Joanna WU
