Our Team

Our team is made up of students and teachers from Glen Waverley Secondary College, and many helpers from outside companies and organizations.

When the project first started, in 2000, the school created a class of students who were interested in participating in the project. 'Supernova' was then made a subject at the school so that this class could work on the project during school time. It worked very well as we had a highly enthusiastic and motivated team. The students were helped by Ms Need, who actually won the chance to do this project for the school, and two other teachers mainly, Mr. Payne and Mrs. Pratt. On top of that, we had Lachlan and Shana from Aerospace Engineering at RMIT University, helping us with setting up the experiment. We also had a spider expert from the Melbourne Zoo coming in regally to help us care for our spiders. At one time we even had a large team from Spacehab in America, come over and explain the whole procedure of the space shuttle and help us finalize our experiment.

This project could not have got this far without all our help and support. For the websites and more information about each helping company, please visit the sponsors page.
