ARTICLES Middle School Curriculum Program Middle School students benefit from participation in a broad curriculum encompassing all key learning areas to provide a comprehensive understanding of the content, skills, and processes of each discipline. Developing the Learner Centred Model The Curriculum Planning Model focuses on the needs of the learner when deciding what is to be learnt, how learning will occur, and how it will be assessed at a whole school level. Middle School Learning Approach A range of strategies are used to achieve the Visions and Values of our College in the Middle School Years of 7, 8, and 9. NAB Schools First Seeding Award to GWSC Year 9 students awarded funding to study endangered Brush-tailed Phascogale. NAPLAN 2012 Testing will take place for Year 7 and 9 students on May 15th, 16th, and 17th. Shakespeare Without Tears 2012 A student review of the annual Romeo and Juliet incursion for Year 10. University of Melbourne Maths Competition Wednesday 2nd May saw over fifty students attempt the University of Melbourne Maths Competition. Endeavour Program The Endeavour Program is currently under review. Group Wisdom: Progress Progress is an online feedback system between teacher and student, which parents can also view. The DEECD Ultranet This web-based system is a statewide network that provides Victorian government schools with an online learning environment.
